Happy Father's Day!

Better late than never . . . Actually, I had this post ready to go but couldn't figure out how to get the pictures off of my new cell phone. Turns out a $7 trip to Fry's was necessary.
Troy, thank you for all of the grace and humor that you bring into your role as a parent. You jumped into this adventure with both feet and never looked back - and you are doing an amazing job. I am so lucky to get to be a parent with you. Madelyn and I both adore and love you - so much.
Oh - and thanks for teaching her all about Crow T. Robot and Earth Vs. The Spider :-)
Father's Day weekend was a busy few days for us as we helped moved my grandma out of her house of 20 plus years and worked on de-weeding our backyard in preparation for grass (finally!). We kept the celebration simple and went to one of Troy's favorite dessert places: Dairy Queen. First up on the menu was a corn dog - Madelyn's first. She wasn't a big fan, which was a huge surprise to us because she loves hot dogs and corn bread on their own. Oh well. The second item on the menu was also a first for Madelyn - an ice cream cone! Not surprisingly, she LOVED it. Every. Single. Bite.
